FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – An Edison High School student has been arrested for bringing a gun onto campus.
The Fresno Police Department says the 16-year-old admitted to having a loaded 9 millimeter in his back pack, while being questioned with two other students, about smoking marijuana.
School administrators alerted police when they became aware of the situation. Detectives from the Street Violence Section Gun Crimes Unit responded and assisted with processing the firearm for evidence and interviewing all of the involved suspects.
The juvenile is facing several weapons-related charges, including illegal possession of a firearm on a school campus and illegally possession of a concealed firearm.
