Sacramento Mayor Attacked with Pie, Fights Back

SACRAMENTO, CA (KMJ/CBS13) – Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson was assaulted at a farm-to-fork dinner event Wednesday evening at Sacramento Charter High School, according to Sacramento police.

The mayor’s office says the attacker – identified by police as 32-year-old Sean Thompson – hit Johnson with a pie and fist. Sacramento police say a scuffle ensued between Thompson, Johnson and a police officer assigned with the mayor.
