FRESNO (KMJ) – At Friday, Correctional Officer Juanita Davila walked out of Community Regional Medical Center and returned home.
She is in good spirits and looks forward to resting at home surrounded by her family.
She has expressed in interest in speaking with the media in the near future so that she can thank the community for its support.
Officer Scanlan remains in critical condition at the hospital.
Although his recovery may take longer than Juanita’s, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is hopeful that he too will experience a day where he walks out of the hospital and returns to his home.
