FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Assuming that living in a certain state automatically determines your financial success is incorrect.
However, according to a new GOBankingRates study, certain regions of the country certainly house more financially successful citizens than others.
The Los Angeles-based financial portal says the most successful states in the country, are along the East Coast.
Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire are said to have the highest rates of financial success.
California — while home to the largest number of millionaires and billionaires — ranks 7th, due to its large lower-income population.
GOBankingRates says although there are several factors to consider when determining where to reside, living among those who are financially successful could be just the push you need, to achieve similar results.
