Clayton Fire in Lake County Explodes, 175+ Structures Destroyed

(KMJ)  The Clayton Fire burning in Lake County, California has charred thousands of acres and destroyed more than 175 structures around the town of Lower Lake.

No people have been killed in the wildfire, however many pets have perished.

Cal Fire officials say mandatory evacuations have been ordered along Morgan Valley Road, North Spruce Grove Road, and areas near Highway 53 and Highway 29 junction and north to Highway 20.

The Damage Assessment Team has arrived and will begin the process of documenting destroyed and damaged structures.
