FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The Independent System Operator has issued a Flex Alert for the State of California.
With the air conditioners running endlessly, there’s substantial stress on the electrical grid, raising the potential for outages.
A Flex Alert calls for voluntary conservation, especially during peak demand, between 2:00 and 9:00 P.M.
Keep the thermostat at 78 degrees or above; and hold off on using major appliances until later in the evening.
