FRESNO, CA (KMJ) – A Black Lives Matter rally is scheduled to take place Wednesday evening in downtown Fresno.
The rally is slated to be held outside of the Fresno County Jail at 6pm.

Black Lives Matter organizer Marcus Winston invites anyone to join, especially if they don’t know much about the movement. Winston says the media has portrayed Black Lives Matter as an anti-police organization, which he says isn’t true.
Another Black Lives Matter organizer, Ernesto Saavedra, says the rally is an opportunity to both protest and heal. He hopes people will network and start a dialogue about how they can affect change.
