Brown Administration in Talks with Oil Producers

KMJ) — The Western States Petroleum Association says it’s been meeting with the Brown Administration on behalf of California’s oil and gas industry, “to improve the state’s current climate change programs.”

The association says Cap-and-Trade, which requires companies to purchase pollution credits, must be extended, adding that it will “work hard to get that done.”

Cap-and-Trade is set to expire in 2020; the Brown Administration is expected to introduce a 10-year extension next week.
