FRESNO (KMJ) — After a visit from every Presidential Candidate, and one former President, the Consolidated Presidential Primary Election is now behind us.
“I think it went really well”, says Fresno County Clerk Registrar of Voters Brandi Orth.
“Obviously we had a lower turnout than we had anticipated, which is unfortunate, but the polling places opened, voters were processed, and we were able to collect all the voting equipment [Tuesday] night and issue some semi-official results”.
The staff are already working to improve the process with the lessons learnt from Tuesday’s election, ready for the General Election scheduled for Tuesday November 8th.
Voters are now being encouraged to make sure that their details are correct.
“If you put in a few pieces of information about yourself, you’ll see your voter record – meaning where you are registered to vote at – and what party you are, and when we get close to the election day your polling place will appear there”.
