FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that Californians do not have a Constitutional right to carry concealed weapons in public.

The court has ruled 7-4 that the 2nd Amendment does not preserve nor protect the right, to carry concealed firearms in public.

In overturning an earlier, three-judge panel’s decision, justices declared that California counties are allowed to require people who want a conceal-carry permit, to specify why they need to pack.
