CHP: Drunk, Pregnant Clovis Woman Triggers Deadly Crash

(KMJ)  The California Highway Patrol says 23 year old Candice Ooley was “highly intoxicated” Friday night when she slammed her car into the back of an SUV sending it down a hillside in Madera County.

47 year old Federico Nunez Silva of Lemoore was killed in the crash.  Three others were injured in the crash along Highway 41 near O’Neals. They were airlifted to area hospitals.

Officers say Candice Ooley, who is pregnant, was drunk and speeding when she rear-ended the Hummer.

Ooley, who lives in Clovis and graduated from Buchanan High, was also reportedly driving on a suspended license due to a previous DUI.  She is currently jailed in Madera County on DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter charges, but could now face a murder count.
