FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — About a million signatures have been submitted, in support of a ballot initiative, which would hike tobacco taxes in the Golden State.
An advocacy group led by Tom Steyer believes its initiative to raise cigarette taxes by $2 a pack, will be on the November ballot.
The tobacco industry has already indicated that it’ll fight hard to defeat it.
