Fresno Traffic Stop Leads to Large Drug Bust

(KMJ) – Just after 3:00 am on Tuesday, Fresno County Sheriff’s Deputies made a traffic stop near Shaw and Maroa Avenues.

Deputies noticed the driver, 34-year old Mkrtich (Mike) Petrosian of Glendale had a loaded handgun. A search of his car then turned up several narcotics packaged for sale. The drugs included: Heroin, methamphetamine, hydrocodone / acetaminophen (Vicodin), alprazolam (Xanax) and two pounds of marijuana.

Deputies arrested Petrosian and booked him into the Fresno County Jail on felony charges of being a felon in possession of drugs and a gun, as well as possessing more than an ounce of marijuana for sale.

Petrosian also faces misdemeanor charges for possession of narcotics other than marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of drugs.

Deputies add that Petrosian previously lived in Fresno for many years and he has been arrested numerous times.
