(KMJ) – Thursday night around 8:50 p.m., Clovis Police were called to a disturbance at Peach and Shaw. Witnesses there told officers a woman had been stabbed. and that the suspect had ran away through the neighborhood.
Clovis Police say the victim who had been stabbed multiple times in the back but was alert and talking with the officers. It was then that an alert homeowner told Police he saw the suspect hiding under a pickup truck in his driveway.
The suspect, identified as 30-year old Matthew Jackson of Fresno, was then located and arrested. He was transported to the Clovis Police Department for processing, and then transferred to the Fresno County Jail. Jackson was booked for attempted murder and a parole violation.
Meantime the victim continues to recover at Community Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition. She tells Clovis Police she did not know the suspect.
