Save Mart To Once Again Sell 51FIFTY Energy Drinks

51FIFTY

(KMJ) – After nearly a month-long absence, Save Mart Supermarkets say it will once again resume selling Livingston-based 51Fifty Energy Drinks.

The Modesto-based chain pulled all of its products in Late March following complaints from several customers over what they considered was the disrespectful connotation the product’s name has for those with mental illness.

But, Save Mart says, through dialog with the ownership of 51Fifty, it has once again resumed selling the company’s products.  The Supermarket chains says, thanks to its conversations with the company, it is confident they will now work on a campaign to increase understanding of mental illnesses.

In a statement to KMJ,  51Fifty Energy Drink CEO Carlos Vieira said, “I’m happy that an industry leader like Save Mart will continue to carry 51Fifty Energy Drinks. By doing so, they will not only provide their customers with a great product, but also support all the work we do to help families in need of assistance in our community.”
