Hanford Sees Rise In Vehicle Thefts

(KMJ) – The City of Hanford has seen an increase in vehicle thefts.

A stolen car chase on Tuesday, March 29th ended in a traffic accident.

A Hanford Police officer was dispatched to R+N market around 11:30, Tuesday, on a report of a stolen vehicle.

They spotted 26 year-old Andrew Medina inside the stolen car, and tried to make a traffic stop.

Medina led officers on a short pursuit until he crashed into a parked car and the attached garage of a home by Arthur and Holt.

Officers caught him as he tried to run away.

The Lindsey resident was driving with a suspended license and was booked into the Kings County Jail.

The City is asking for the public’s help to report any activity that may help them to apprehend auto theft suspects.
