Fresno Police Make Three Arrests In Auto Theft Sweep

TRIO ARREST

(KMJ) – On Monday February 15th,  officers with the Fresno Police Department’s Northwest Violent Crime Impact Team were patrolling the area of Polk and Shaw in response to an increase of auto thefts in the area.

Officers received a tip that a Parolee at Large on the run since Christmas Eve 2014, had been spotted in the area of Apple Creek Apartments. There they found 32-year old Jonathan Bettinsoli hiding in a garage.  He was eventually taken into custody without incident.  But when officers searched him, they found he had two large knives hidden in the small of his back.

In the same complex parking lot officers also found a stolen vehicle.  Inside it, officers found and arrested 27-year old Alexander Tafoya.  He was charged with auto theft.

39-year old Jenny Ferry was also found inside the vehicle.  And Fresno Police say she was arrested for possession of stolen property.
