FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California motorists used nearly 15 billion gallons of gasoline during fiscal 2014 – 2015, according to the Board of Equalization.

That’s up 2.4 percent from the previous year, and is the largest annual increase since 2003; diesel consumption has risen as well.

The higher figures are being attributed to lower fuel prices.
