Nayeri, Tieu Captured in San Francisco

(KMJ)  Police in San Francisco Saturday morning captured two escaped
inmates from the Central Men’s Jail in Santa Ana, ending a week-long manhunt that spanned Southern, Central and Northern California.

37 year old Hossein Nayeri, who was raised in Fresno and Jonathan Tieu, 20, of Fountain
Valley, were spotted in a stolen van at a Whole Foods parking lot near Golden Gate Park.

Nayeri, a Clovis West High grad, attempted to flee on foot but was captured a short time later.

The third escapee, Bac Duong, 43, of Santa Ana, was arrested Friday after turning himself in.

On Thursday, a 44-year-old Lake Forest woman who taught English classes
at the jail was arrested for allegedly providing information to Nayeri, who was
one of her jailhouse students.

Nooshafarian Ravaghi, 44, of Lake Forest is accused of helping the three inmates escape, aiding them by bringing Google Maps, which Hallock said might be useful because they show the roof of the jail. The three inmates, Hossein Nayeri, Jonathan Tieu and Bac Duong, rappelled from the roof last Friday when they escaped .
