GALLARDO

(KMJ) – A Fresno murder suspect has been taken into custody more than 100 miles from the scene of his alleged crime.

On January 23rd, Fresno Police were called to the Kearney Market for a shooting inside the store. There they found shooting victim, 38-year old Anthony Jones of Fresno.  He was taken to CRMC where was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

A follow-up investigation by Homicide Detectives determined that the victim and the suspect, 23-year old Eric Gallardo got into a fight inside the store.  And that’s when Gallardo pulled out a gun and fired at Jones, who was still inside the store.

On January 25th, Gallardo was located at a gas station at Arch Road and Highway 99 in Stockton.  He was taken into custody and booked into the Fresno County Jail for murder.
