Iconic Wedding Dress Shop Luftenburgs Closing

LUFTENBERGS

An iconic business in Fresno is shutting after 75 years.

You’ll see the gold horse outside the store as you’re driving on Blackstone…

It’s the newer location where Luftenbergs has been selling wedding dresses since 2013, but the family-owned business first opened as a fabric/silk shop on the Fulton Mall –back on December 8th, 1941, the day after Pearl Harbor was attacked.

Ask many a bride and she will tell you she got her dress at Luftenbergs – now competition from online shopping and the desire to retire has the owner closing the doors – and a blowout sale perhaps the only good news for those who see it as not just a dress shop but piece of Fresno history.
