Fresno Police Look For Wheelchair Robber

On Sunday, November 15th at about 7 p.m., 29 year old Marc Apodaca rolled into the Wal-Mart at 5125 E. Kings Canyon while sitting in a wheelchair.  Apodaca who is seen on video surveillance scoots through several aisles while selecting and concealing merchandise underneath his clothing.

Apodaca then leaves the store in his wheel chair through the garden department where he’s confronted by Loss Prevention Officers.  In his attempt to roll away, Apodaca pulled a 6” knife on LP Officers and told them that if they touched him he would stab them.  Apodaca is then seen by LP Officers jumping out of his wheel chair where he folds it up and runs from the location with the stolen property and his wheel chair in hand.

The suspect is currently wanted for armed robbery after stealing electronics, a watch, and Fresno State gym bags totaling over $60.00.

Anyone with information on where Marc Apodaca can be located is asked to call Detective Donnie Dinnell at 621-6334, or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP (7867) where you can remain anonymous and receive up to a $1000 dollars reward for information leading to an arrest.
