(KMJ) A young woman is charged in a gruesome murder in the south valley.
Kely Garcia was arraigned Thursday in a Bakersfield courtroom.
Prosecutors say she poured gasoline on Richard Sanchez and lit him on fire earlier this week. He died two days later in a Los Angeles hospital. Investigators have not revealed a motive.
The presiding judge ordered Garcia undergo a mental competency exam after she declared that she wanted to defend herself.
