FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Soda. Candy. Doughnuts. They might not be the cause of the obesity epidemic.
A new study from the Cornell University Food and Brand Lab, says there doesn’t appear to be a correlation between junk food consumption and weight.
Researchers looked at the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, to determine how a person’s junk food habits correlate with their BMI.
However, there are some foods that do correlate with a lower BMI: fruits and vegetables.
So, you might try replacing that second twinkie with an apple.
