FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — It’s no secret that high sugar consumption can be problematic. Maybe you have a sweet tooth, or maybe you prefer sweet and salty.
However, a surprising new study finds that cutting back will allow you to see dramatic health improvements, in only 10 days.
UC San Francisco researchers observed 43 children, in whom after 10 days, triglyceride levels dropped by around 33%, bad cholesterol declined by 5 points, and blood pressure fell.
They say it’s further proof that not all calories are created equal.
Essentially, choosing the trail mix might be a better idea than devouring that snickers bar.
