(November 3, 2015) – Fresno State held a press conference at 2:30, Tuesday, to address media questions.

Police Chief David Huerta said that Christian Pryor is in Los Angeles with his family. His mother said he is not the type to have a gun, nor were any weapons found at his apartment across from campus.

Pryor has been placed on interim suspension and a hearing will be held in 10 days.

The school will submit a felony charge of “terrorist threat” to District Attorney Lisa Smittcamp, on Wednesday.

Fresno State head football coach Tim DeRuyter released the following statement Tuesday in conjunction with Monday’s social media threat on the Fresno State campus.

“Chris Pryor was a walk-on freshman football player for us. Up until this incident we had no negative dealings with him on or off the field. When we were alerted of this yesterday we took the threat seriously. We worked with the Fresno State Police Department to contact Chris. As a result of Chris’ actions, he has immediately been dismissed from our football program,” DeRuyter said.

Fresno State Athletics will have no further comment on the issue.
