FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The California Department of Public Health and the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services have corrected major deficiencies, that were identified back in 2013.

The state auditor says improvements have been made to the state’s level of emergency preparedness, and planning efforts.

Additionally, federal funding has stabilized, allowing the department to sustain its capabilities.

Still, the auditor’s office plans to monitor both agencies.
