The City of Madera has a critical need to provide space for industrial business, and the Freedom Industrial Park should help solve some of thqat problem.
On Thursday, September 24th, the ground breaking was held at Pecan & Pine Streets at the site of the industrial park.
“The vacancy rate for industrial land was about 1% which is virtually nothing before the Freedom Industrial Park was hatched, and this industrial park – it’s really a game changer for our city in terms of being able to attract commercial and industrial businesses.” -Madera Mayor Robert Poythress.
The 100 acre site is a unique public/private partnership – between The City of Madera and Span Construction – who donated approximately 36 acres for the site.
Deerpoint Inc., an agricultural irrigation water treatment business will be the first industrial business to start construction on their 65-thousand square foot building on the site that will eventually house around 70-80 employees.
