Friday, Fresno County Sheriff’s deputies are going door to door to distribute mandatory evacuation notices to certain residents in Dunlap.
The starting point will be on Millwood Road, 1 ½ miles east of where Dunlap Road and Millwood Road intersect. The notices will be handed out along Todd Eymann Road and up along Highway 245 where it meets Highway 180.
Deputies are urging residents to be out of the area by 12:00 pm. The exit route for motorists will be Dunlap Road, past the school and back out to Highway 180. Residents shall not drive on Millwood Road.
The new evacuations come as the Rough Fire continues to grow in mountains of eastern Fresno County. The U.S. Forest Service now puts the size of the blaze at 119, 069 Acres. It remains at 29% containment.
