(KMJ) A former Fresno police officer has been charged with pimping out his girlfriend to an undercover detective.
Fresno prosecutors announced Wednesday that they had filed a misdemeanor criminal complaint against Robert Knight.
Prosecutors say Knight and his girlfriend are facing a prostitution charges.
The 43-year-old Knight resigned in July just days after learning he was under investigation following his girlfriend’s arrest.
Prosecutors say Knight set up a meeting where Alicia Stapleton agreed to perform a sex act for money with a vice officer.
Stapleton has worked as a prostitute at the infamous Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Nevada.
The two are due in Fresno County Superior Court on Sept. 8 for arraignment.
