Food Safety News reports at least 60 people were sickened after eating at a southern California Chipotle in the past week.
While the source of the illness remains under investigation, an inspection cited several health concerns at the Simi Valley, California restaurant.
The inspection found floors, walls and ceilings to be unsanitary, unclean utensils, flying insects in the facility and equipment connected directly to the sewer, among other violations.
After customers reported the illnesses to Chipotle, the restaurant notified health department officials and closed for a day to clean and bring in new food before reopening over the weekend.
