FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — The State Water Resources Control Board will consider granting $750,000 to the County of Tulare, to bolster a bottled water program.

Many residents in East Porterville have been without running water, as wells have failed amid the drought.

If approved by the board, the bottled water program would be funded for up to 33 months.

The board is expected to take up the grant proposal on Tuesday.
