Drought Resistant Turf Rebates Coming To Clovis

CLOVIS (KMJ) — Households in Clovis can now claim up to $2,000 each to replace their turf with grass that needs less water.

It’s yet another drought-fighting measure and is supported by a $24 million budget from Sacramento.

Anyone in Clovis with turf that’s either living or dead can apply for the rebate, but projects can’t start before the homeowner applies.

Consumers are eligible to replace turf that is living or dead (but not bare earth) to water efficient landscaping at the time of the rebate application.

The rebate can’t be used to pay for the artificial turf portion of a bigger project, and rebates will be handed over directly from the state’s Department of Water Resources. If you’re interested a link to the details you’ll need can be found clicking here.
