FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — After a massive spike in prices at the pump, we’re finally seeing some relief.

California’s averaging $3.78 a gallon, down about a nickel from last week. In Fresno, gas is at about $3.49.

So-called unexpected refinery outages are being blamed. California drivers continue to get slammed compared to the rest of the nation, which is averaging $2.67.

Although, wholesale prices have been dropping.
