Calif. Assemblywoman Calls for Audit of Planned Parenthood

FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — California Assemblywoman Melissa Melendez is urging the Joint Legislative Audit Committee “to determine how much money Planned Parenthood is making off the sale of infant body parts.”
 
Melendez tells KMJ News, “I think considering Planned Parenthood gets subsidized by the government, to the tune of millions, we have a right to know how much they’re profiting.”
  
The allegations were brought to light, after undercover videos were released by the pro-life Center for Medical Progress.
 
Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards is in denial, “The allegation that Planned Parenthood profits in any way from tissue donations, is not true.”

Meanwhile, California Attorney General Kamala Harris is looking into whether the center’s undercover videos violated the law.
