Battling bad air is the work of Valley Clean Air Now, and one large contributor is vehicle emissions that spew toxins into our air.
If you own a vehicle that may be having problem passing the smog check – Valley CAN wants to help you.
Here are three questions to answer:
Are you a San Joaquin Valley resident?
Have you owned your car for more than 6 months?
Does your car fail emissions testing?
Valley Clean Air Now’s event – Tune In Tune Up – is taking place Saturday, July 25th at the Fresno County Fairgrounds.
This is where you should go if you are having any kind of emission problems with your vehicle and won’t pass smog.
“Folks usually know when they are having emission problems. This is a way to fix those emission problems – those are very expensive repairs, and what happens a lot of times is people don’t have the money and they let their smog problems get their car kicked out of registration. We’re your way back in to registration by fixing those issues with your car.” – Tom Knox, Executive Director of Valley Clean Air Now:
Go there – and if you do fail emissions “Valley CAN” will give you a voucher good for up to 500 dollars in free smog repair at participating STAR smog shops.
Knox says this will likely pay for all the repairs that you need on your car, and pay for the smog certificate you need to re-register your car.
Tune in Tune Up: Saturday July 24th -9:00am to 3:00pm
