Country music’s popular couple Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have announced they intend to divorce after four years of marriage.
This comes after years of tabloid gossip about Shelton’s wandering eye, and a schedule that often kept the two apart.
Shetlon had been working in Los Angeles on ‘The Voice’ while it wrapped up its season, while she was touring on the Locked and Reloaded Tour with Dierks Bentley.
“This is not the future we envisioned,” their representatives said in a statement to The Associated Press. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
