Special 15 City County Summit Invites Public Comment

SACRAMENTO

If you’ve got an opinion about how local cities manage groundwater or farmland or even thoughts about laws involving marijuana, you’re invited to share your thoughts at a Summit, tonight.

Fresno, Clovis, Fowler, and Reedley are just some of the cities gathering for the special 15 City County Summit.

“Its going to bring together leaders from all 15 cities to discuss a number of countywide topics including groundwater management, marijuana legislation, land use and farmland preservation.” – Andreas Borgeas, Fresno County Supervisor.

A forum like this has not existed before supervisors Andreas Borgeas and Buddy Mendez came up with the idea back in February.

Leaders can learn from one another and build relationships, while taking public comment from citizens: “Board Members taking those viewpoints into consideration as we vote on matters that are coming before the board as well as implementing policy, long term policy, for Fresno County.” – Andreas Borgeas, Fresno County Supervisor.

This summit is the first, a second meeting to focus on metropolitan issues will be slated for the end of the year.
