Fresno, CA (KMJ) Two Fresno Police officers have been cleared of any wrongdoing in a case of alleged excessive force.
A Hoover High student, who was 15 years old at the time, claimed that she was forcefully yanked from the booth of a local restaurant and unlawfully arrested by officers Larry Hustedde and Jeffrey Kaiser.
The Associated Press reports the jury deliberated for about 30 minutes Tuesday before announcing their verdict.
In August 2010, Idalia Morgutia-Johnson says she was at a diner near campus when Hustedde told her she had been in the restaurant too long without ordering.
During the trial, the defense attorney cited the girl’s use of marijuana and previous fights as representations of her character.
