FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — This summer, many of us will be taking a vacation, and it’s likely the credit card will come out at least a few times.

According to credit reporting company Experian, 68% of vacationers spend more than expected, often relying on that piece of plastic to cover the difference.

But no group is worse about saving up for that getaway than millennials.

Credit experts say that often results in excessive debt, which could ultimately harm financial health for years to come.

Planning and putting away a few bucks for that vacation, will prevent a headache down the road.
