FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Fatal crashes of teen drivers have declined by 56% over the past 20 years, according to a new report from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety.

It precedes the 100 Deadliest Days, when teens drive more than any other time of the year.

The foundation says although such fatalities are down, parents should still keep a close eye on their teens.
Recommendations include curfews, limiting passengers, and making it clear that cell phones are not to be used behind the wheel.
