Kids Invent Catapults At Innovation Day at Fresno State

200 Fresno Unified students competed at Kids Innovation Day at Fresno State.

Lyles Executive Director Tim Stearns: “This demonstrates really the power of kids and their ability to come up with all sorts of cool ideas. these people are the inventors and this is the future,,, these little people make things that we like down the road.”

There were robots and booths and tech stuff.

Teams of student from 39 schools were learning their challenge – they had one hour to to build a catapult and a minute and a half to shoot 50 ping pong balls into robots.

It’s a mix of science, engineering and creativity.

The winning teams were from Storey, Powers Ginsburg, Columbia, Williams, Robinson, Ewing, and Lane.
