Bitwise & City Backing “Fab 5” Boys Water Tracking Web App

FAB 5

An announcement at the tech hub Bitwise that could help you track your water use.

The 6th grade robotics team members from Riverview Elementary are part of the big news.

They are called the Fab 5, and remember these names: Noah Arsitio, Corben Beaty, Jeffery Forbes, Evan Murai, and Daniel Shin…these 6th graders who created a web app to track your water use.

They pitched their idea to the City of Fresno a few months ago…they got a “Yes.”

Now, the technical part has been funded.

Mayor Ashley Swearengin was the first to pledge $5,000.

Others followed raising money – the Fresno Chamber of Commerce, PG&E, and ATT’s President Ken McNeely who pledged $25,000.

The Fab 5 boys will spend their summer break building the application with help from Bitwise – who also offered

them a lifetime membership at their Geekwise Academy.

The app should be ready to access on your smartphone in 4 to 5 months.
