(KMJ) Kern County authorities are working to identify human remains found stuffed inside a 55 gallon metal drum over the weekend.
The gruesome discovery was made Saturday in a vineyard near I-5 and Copus Road.
“We believe that the person has been deceased for an extended period of time. It was basically skeletal remains and some of the remains have been scattered,” said Ray Pruitt, spokesman for the Kern County Sheriff’s office.
