(KMJ) Bakersfield detectives are investigating a shooting that wounded a pregnant woman.
The gunfire broke out Tuesday afternoon after 33 year old Adrianna Bravo and her husband were confronted by three suspects in the front yard of their home.
The Kern County sheriff’s office says one of the suspects opened fired on her and her 34-year-old husband, Mario Bravo Jr.
Adrianna Bravo, who was 8 1/2 months pregnant at the time of the shooting, is in fair condition. The gunshot struck her hip and her unborn son. The baby was delivered and is now listed in critical condition at Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera.
Mario Bravo was hit multiple times in the upper torso and is in critical condition.
The shooter and other men fled in a gray Honda four-door. No arrests have been made and a motive has not been released.
