FRESNO, Calif. (KMJ) — Credit reports have a big impact on your ability to secure financing, and determine what your interest rate will be.

But according a new survey by Bankrate, 35% of Americans have never reviewed their reports. That includes 41% of millennials, and 44% of seniors.

It’s recommended that you review your credit reports at least 3 times a year. Experts say that doesn’t mean just scanning a 3-digit number, but also checking for errors, and signs of fraud.
