Brianna Ramirez Thanks The Community

~It was February 12th, when Brianna Ramirez was shot in the eye, while being driven home from school.

On Thursday, (3/5/2015) the 16 year-old spoke out for the first time to all the media at her high school.

She hasn't been back since the shooting.

In the Sanger School Library, sat Sheriff Margaret Mims, Sanger Superintendent Matt Navo and Brianna, with a patch covering her eye.

She thanked the community, family, friends, the players and the high school for the prayers and donations, and said getting back on the field pushs her to get better.

It was apparent how much her softball team means to her.

Her entire softball team sat to her right and when it was over she hugged and laughed with them – took photos and then they all said a prayer.

Sheriff Margaret Mims gave out Sheriff Hector Palma's office number:  559-367-4734 and cell phone number: 559-600-8204.

She encouraged people to call him directly with tips.

She said people can also call Crime Stoppers: 559-498 (STOP) 7867.

There's still a $9000 reward for the shooter.
