~Fresno police officers, sheriffs and community leaders gathered downtown for a "Shave the Brave" event in honor of Edgar Valle Sandoval, an officer fighting pancreatic cancer.
Officer Sandoval was told the Fresno PD would hold a fundraiser for him…he never expected to see so many out in his honor.
More than 70 people signed up to shave their head bald, both men and women.
Sandoval even shaved one of the officer's heads, himself. (Seen in the photo).
Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer got a trim, too.
A very humble Edgar was grateful for the outpouring of support: "Bottom line is – and the thing that I admire the most is – when someone is in need the community comes together."
