Local Fresno Landmark Closed

Rotary Playland typically closes for the winter but now it will be shut for the entire year or more.

It's been open for nearly 60 years – but time has worn out rotary park.

Blame it on low revenues and expensive, but necessary repairs that are estimated to cost more than one hundred thousand dollars.

This closure also extends to Storyland as well. The proximity to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo could draw in more people—but fundraising would still be necessary for repairs.

Board members hope to re-open it in the Spring.

The Playland board plans to meet (3/3/2015) and will be releasing more details about the closure.
