FRESNO (KMJ) — A teenager is in jail after police say he was trying to scare his ex-girlfriend – while she was spending time with her new boyfriend.
It happened early Sunday morning in southeast Fresno. Police received a call of shots fired – and went to investigate.
Officers say the teenager fired around 6 shots into the air before the rifle jammed. When he tried to free it – he inadvertently shot himself in the leg.
He was treated for his injuries at CRMC – and is now in Fresno County Juvenile Hall.
